Carolyn has been an adult neuro occupational therapist for 25 years, specializing in the treatment of adults after stroke or brain injury. Carolyn has a special interest in treating those with visual and visual-perceptual impairments. In 2021, Carolyn earned a Specialty Certificate in Low Vision to care for those with progressive vision loss from an eye disease or condition. Occupational Therapy embodies restoring dignity and self-worth after illness or injury, and she is proud to provide that mindset to each patient. Carolyn provides outpatient low vision occupational therapy to adolescent through senior patients.

Favorite part of being an occupational therapist: Listening and learning about my patients, their families, their interests, and hobbies, and helping them get back to who and what they love.

Family Life: Carolyn is originally from the Philadelphia area. She is married to her high school sweetheart. They have two boys.

Hobbies: reading, travel, yoga, puzzles, long walks with her dog

Claire Bublitz, OTR/L, CLVT

Claire graduated from The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, achieving a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2004. Shortly thereafter she became board certified as a Low Vision Therapist through the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP) in 2005. She has worked with adults in outpatient and inpatient settings providing low vision intervention for over 20 years. She is passionate about helping people struggling with vision loss, especially the elderly and those with dual sensory loss (vision and hearing).

Favorite part of being an occupational therapist: Being able to make a big impact in a patient’s life very quickly by showing them small things that make their life easier. It brings me joy to watch people do things they thought they could never do again!

Family Life: Claire is originally from the Milwaukee area. She is married and has 1 daughter.

Hobbies: Camping, Yoga, watching my daughter play sports and perform in music recitals

Education: Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy through The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Certification for Low Vision Therapy through ACVREP following coursework from Johns Hopkins Lions Wilmer Eye Institute, 350+ hour discipline-specific supervised internship, and board exam.
